"I asked a couple of questions and got..."
I asked a couple of questions and got different answers from different staff members. Confusing. It just didn’t feel like everyone was on the same page.

"Cracked at first, but they fixed it"
My order showed up cracked from shipping, which was damn annoying, but their customer service didn’t mess around. They replied quickly and sent out a replacement. It took a few days to get sorted, but overall I’m still happy with how they handled the whole thing.

"Not the best batch this time"
I ordered some crickets and roaches for my gecko, but i wasn’t super impressed. A lot of the crickets were already dead when they arrived, and the roaches were smaller than I expected. The packing was okay, I guess, but the overall quality just wasn’t great this time. I’m not sure I’d order feeders from here again.

"Nice options, but I’m not totally sure about the setup"
I like that there are a decent amount of ways to customize things and make it feel more my style. That said, some of the size options weren’t as easy to find as I expected, and it made me wonder a bit about how carefully everything was put together.

"Got the wrong stuff in my order"
My order showed up with the wrong size and quantity, so it definitely wasn’t what I thought I paid for. I even checked the packing slip thinking maybe I ordered weird by accident, but nope, it still didn’t line up.

I tried getting it sorted out, but it was just a hassle because I needed the items right then. Maybe it was just one mistake, but if one part of the order is wrong, it kind of makes me feel like the whole process is unreliable, so I’m not sure I’d order again.

"Good Prices, Shipping Was a Bit Much"
I’m picky about what I consider a good deal, and the prices here definitely felt fair to me. The only thing that threw me off a bit was the shipping cost—it kind of stung at checkout. Still, overall it wasn’t a bad experience

"Pretty good for a safe reptile setup"
My stuff arrived, just fine, and it feels safe enough for my gecko, which was the main thing I cared about. I do wish the instructions were a bit clearer, because I had to figure some parts out myself, but overall, I’m happy with it.

"Finally, a Thermostat That Just Does Its Job"
I picked up one of their thermostats for my snake rack, and shockingly, it keeps the temps steady like that’s somehow what a thermostat is supposed to do. My old one was all over the place, so this has been a nice change. Setup was painless too, which is saying something because I’m not exactly a tech wizard. Had it running quickly, and the probe was reading right around where I expected it to. I’ve been using it daily and haven’t really had to mess with it much, which is all I wanted. reptilebasics came through for me.

"Really easy to deal with"

"Box Was Beat Up, But the Item Was Fine"
The box showed up a little crushed, which seems to happen with every delivery these days. Luckily, everything inside was totally fine, so it wasn’t a big deal. I do think they could use a bit more padding next time though. Overall, not the worst experience, but not exactly great either.

"Finally Got My Refund, But It Took Forever"
I did end up getting my refund, so I’ll give them that, but the whole return process was way slower than it needed to be. I felt like I was being forced to just sit around and be patient with no real updates, which was frustrating. Glad it’s resolved now, but I wouldn’t want to go through that again

"Pretty painless setup overall"
I set aside a little time expecting this to be more annoying than it was, and I had my tools out just in case, but I didn’t really need much. The instructions were easy to follow, and after going through the steps, my rack thermostat was set up in about 15 minutes. I’ve been using it since then and haven’t run into any problems so far.

"Decent product, confusing communication"
I had to ask twice before I got a clear answer about my order, which was a little frustrating. They did get back to me eventually, but the replies felt kind of short and confusing, that part was weird. The product itself was okay, I just wish the communication had been clearer.

"Not really worth the price"
I got a hide and a tub, and both felt cheaper than I expected for what I paid. They work okay, so I’m not saying they’re totally useless, but the quality just didn’t match the price. I also felt a bit passed around trying to figure things out, which made the whole experience more frustrating than it needed to be.

I ordered a few supplies for my snake from Reptile Basics, and overall it was a smooth experience. The site was simple enough to navigate, and the prices felt fair compared to what I’ve seen elsewhere. Shipping did take a bit longer than I was hoping, so reading between the lines, I’d say they’re reliable but maybe not the best choice if you’re in a rush. Everything arrived packed well and exactly as described, so I’d definitely order from them again, just with a little extra time built in.
